Dr. Anita Brown, Senior Pastor of Harvest Temple, is a daughter of The Church of the Kingdom of God, having been reared in the church. Prior to coming to Hawkinsville, she served as Co-Pastor of The Church of the Kingdom of God in Dawson, Georgia with the late Bishop William H. Bryant, Jr. She also worked in the church under the late Bishop William H. Bryant, Sr. Other sevice in the Body of Christ includes serving in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) as District Missionary of the Albany District of Northern Gerogia Jurisdiction during the administration of the late Bishop J. Howard Dell. She also served Monroe Street COGIC as Minister of Music and in the Missionary Department. She served St. Paul COGIC in Washington, D.C as Minister of Music and on the Missionary Board.

Pastor Brown came to The Church of the Kingdom of God in Hawkinsville in 1997 with a vision from the Lord to provide a worship environment where persons could worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, and where needed, receive healing, deliverance and counseling. Since that time, her vision has expanded to include the outreach ministry of Blessed Community Development Corporation.

Born in New York City, Pastor Brown was reared in Albany, Georgia. She received her early education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating with honors from Monroe

Comprehensive High School in Albany, Georgia. She earned a B.S. degree from Albany State University in 1969 and a M.Ed. from American University in Washington, D.C. in 1973. In June 2000, she received a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Sarasota, Sarasota, Fla. Pastor Brown has taught in Alabama, Washington, D.C. Lee County, Georgia, Dougherty County, Georgia and is a retired Assistant Principal of Dougherty Middle School in Albany, Georgia.

Pastor Brown is the mother of one daughter, LaToya, and grandmother of one grandson, Trevonte'.
